Frequently Asked Questions

When you schedule a massage with Waves Massage you will be prompted to leave a deposit at the time your massage is scheduled in the amount of 20% of the total service amount. This precaution is there to insure that our therapists are being compensated in the event of a cancellation. If you do happen to need to cancel your scheduled massage for any reason your deposit will be credited towards your next scheduled massage within 30 days from the original date of your scheduled massage. This initial deposit is non- refundable and can not be applied towards any service performed on anyone other than the individual who originated the Scheduled massage. Once your deposit has been proceeded, you will receive an email confirmation of your scheduled massage. If for any reason you are unable to keep your scheduled time and/or date please contact us as soon as possible so that we are able to reschedule your massage for another time that suits your schedule
When you arrive at Waves Massage, you’ll be greeted by your Therapist who will ask you a series of questions relating to your reasoning for you coming into the office. These questions might be related to your medical history, injuries, or physical conditions they should be aware of before starting your session. It is important for you to be as open as you can with your therapist to insure the best results from your experience. It would be of good practice to arrive 15 minutes early to give yourself enough time to relax.
Your therapist will direct you to your session room and step out for about 5 to 10 mins, allowing you to disrobe (to your comfort level). Once you have laid onto a table underneath the top sheet and blanket. You can alert your therapist that you are ready to begin by speaking the words “IM READY”. Your therapist will enter your session room and begin working on the areas directly connected to the areas discussed. Your therapist will only uncover the areas of your body they’re working on and that moment, and will ask for verbal permission unless otherwise noted to work on any area that may cause you discomfort.
Our aim is to create a deep wave of relaxation for you on every visit. If there are any specific areas that you prefer not to be worked during your session, please advise your therapist upon arrival. You have the right to ask for either a full-body massage (for general relaxation) or a customized session focusing on specific parts of your body. And remember, we want you to feel free to talk with your therapist as much, or as little, as you wish.
Although Relaxation isn't our only focus when providing our services. We do want you to be able to relax your mind and muscles during your massage session. Breathe normally and try not to tighten or contract your muscles during your session. Maintaining an open line of communication with your therapist is a great way to make the most of your massage experience. please feel free to provide feedback on your therapist pressure application or techniques.
When your massage is complete, your therapist will leave you in the Massage room while you dress. When you’re ready, you will return to the receptionist area and complete the payment for your services. Once your payment has been processed, the receptionist and/or Therapist may offer you a bottle of water before you leave the office (it’s important to stay hydrated post-massage). If you appreciated your experience, you can always leave a tip for your therapist. We are looking forward to you catching the Wave of relaxation on your visit!
